COCKROACHES

Are you seeing cockroaches? For every one you see, they will have at least 30 friends in hiding! Usually homes and commercial buildings need treating every 12 months. A common treatment is baiting them with a gel based product and also using a broad based spray around skirting boards – these treatments have a long residual effect which will continue working in your home for up to 12 months.

SILVERFISH

Silverfish infestation? Queensland summers are the perfect breeding temperature for silverfish. What are the signs apart from seeing them? Look for holes in clothing, chewed areas on boxes and damage to pages of books. Sometimes the damage is accompanies by a yellow stain. Pestworx can treat for silverfish infestation, although be prepared to spring clean your home as well, because they love dusty place and old papers.

BEDBUGS

Bedbugs are the number 1 pest in the world today. They are flat, reddish-brown, oval insects 4-5mm long and become swollen and reddish after feeding on human blood. Treatment is very focused and site specific, targeting bedbugs and their eggs that have been seen during a thorough inspection. We will spot treat all crevices in furniture, beds, mattresses, walls, door and window frames with aerosol and specifically formulated pesticide, only used for treatment of bedbugs.

ANTS

Sick of ants spoiling your food? Pestworx can treat ant infestations. One method is by baiting the ants with processed foods which contain orthoboric acid, abamectin or fipronil. Using this method, lured ants will be eliminated. This can be followed up by treating their nests with dust insecticides that will wipe out the colony. Treatment of nests should be repeated on a regular basis.

Being driven indoors by mosquitoes? Pestworx can treat your home or commercial building for mosquitoes. Larvaciding is one of the most efficient ways of controlling mosquitoes, treating the larvae. Mist blowing is an eco-friendly alternative for mosquito control – this is the dispersing of a thin mist of eco-friendly products across a large space.

FLEAS

Australia is home to several species although the most common is the cat flea. The adult flea reproduces at a fast rate causing infestations to spread rapidly. They lay eggs on pets, in gardens, carpet and furniture, and in dusty areas of the house. We can treat your home for flea infestations, and you to avoid re-infestation ask your vet about flea treatment for you pet.

FLIES

Commerical kitchens, restaurants, stables and farm buildings need fly treatments to keep flies to a minimum. Pestworx can spray with an insecticide treatment, or use fly traps or light traps to control flies.
